Early in his career, Darien George was recruited to join one of the nation's most prominent retained physician search firms in Dallas, quickly assuming a leadership role in the firm's Western region. He was selected as a top marketing consultant within his first year, bringing in over one million in revenue, and was later promoted to Director of the West Coast Division where he successfully completed many high-profile searches.
Darien eventually left the large firms to create his own venture - Mackenzie Eason & Associates, developing his own unique approach of applying executive search criteria to the healthcare industry. Darien currently serves as the Managing Partner of the Fort Worth office, successfully executing health care related searches including Hospital & Group Administration, Medical Leadership and Clinical Health Care roles. While Darien’s work has traditionally focused on clients predominately located in the West Coast, Southwest, and Southern parts of the United States, he has experience with placements throughout the country.
An active member of his professional community, Darien currently holds the CPC designation of Certified Personnel Consultant and the PRC designation of Physician Recruiting Consultant regulated and administered by the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS). He serves as Chair of the Ethics Committee for the National Coalition of Healthcare Recruiters, and previously served on the Security Committee for the NAPR to investigate fraud, abuse, and deception for the members.
Darien’s charity work and community involvement have also led him to take over the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors for MEA's Charities, a non-profit organization involved in supporting local communities. Darien also serves on the board of the Fort Worth Adult Soccer Association and the Optimist Club of Fort Worth. He also donates his time and talents to his local community as a Football Coach and mentor for inner-city elementary children, the HALO Society, Panther Club, Lone Star Ride, the Susan G Komen Society, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Worth.
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Darien went on to attend Texas Christian University, and ultimately graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on Marketing. Darien still resides in his hometown of Fort Worth, where he enjoys playing soccer, scuba diving, traveling, and donating his time to local youth organizations
